Dial-Up Residential settings creation for Windows XP Applies to: Dial-Up Residential Windows XP
Step 1 Click the Start button and select Run
Step 2 Press the Delete key to clear any text in the Open field and type inetwiz
Step 3 Click OK to launch the Internet Connection Wizard
Step 4 Select Connect using my phone line and click Next
Step 5 The wizard will automatically select your modem. If you wish to change it, select another modem from the drop down list and click Next
Step 6 Select "Create a new dial-up connection" and click Next
Step 7 Type 85437100 in the Telephone Number field and remove the tick from the Use Area Code and dialling rules option
Step 8 Type your Username and press the Tab key
Step 9 Type your password and click Next Note: Passwords are case sensitive
Step 10 Press the Delete key (on your keyboard) to clear the Connection Name field
Step 11 Type Auslin as the connection name and click Next Note: If you get the error `a connection with this name already exists` you will need to type NewAuslin instead.
Step 12 At this stage you are presented with the option of setting up your Internet mail account. If you wish to proceed, select Yes and click Next
Step 13 Select create a new Internet mail account and Click Next
Type in a Display Name for the email and click Next Note: Use your full name or a company name if appropriate (this is the name that will appear on every email you send)
Step 14 Type your email address in the format username@Auslin.com.au and click Next
Step 15 Type mail.auslin.com.au in both the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server fields. Click Next
Step 16 Confirm the Username is correct and type in your Password. Select the "Remember Password" checkbox and click Next
Step 17 Click Finish to complete
